Silence function

Use the silence function if the smoke alarm is exposed to cooking fumes or

false alarms. When the alarm siren is on press down the smoke alarm’s front

surface for 3 seconds until the alarm sound stops. The smoke alarm will then go

over to the silent mode for approximately eight minutes. After eight minutes the

smoke alarm will return to the normal operation mode. Note that if an alarm is

caused by very thick smoke, the alarm siren will continue despite the use of the

silence function.
