Go-X Series Rolling Shutter GigE Vision I/F (Preliminary)

Global Reset
Use
Global Reset
for applications with moving objects.
When Global Reset is selected, moving objects can be captured without distortion as each pixel row
begins exposing at the same time. However, in this mode, the exposure time becomes longer for
the lower pixel rows, which results in a gradual increase in brightness from top to bottom. To
resolve this, use a strobe flash in a relatively low light environment.
Note
: The strobe flash can be controlled by the ExposureActive signal. For more information, see
ExposureActive Signal
When SensorShutterMode is set to
Global Reset
, control the strobe flash timing using the
. Start the flash at the rising edge of the ExposureActive signal and set the
flash period shorter than the exposure period. (The flash should complete before the falling edge of
the ExposureActive signal).
Caution
When SensorShutterMode is set to
Rolling
, you cannot use a strobe flash because
each pixel row is exposed at a different timing and the lower pixel rows will not be
exposed.
The ExposureActive signal from
the camera’s
’s
Exposure Active
period as shown below.
