This field makes the parallel port comply with one of the

different kinds of parallel communications: Standard,

ECP

Extended Capabilities Port (ECP), and Enhanced Parallel Port
(EPP).

Standard allows data output only. ECP are EPP are
bi-directional modes, allowing both data input and output.
ECP and EPP modes are only supported with EPP and ECP
aware peripherals.
