INSTRUCTIONS
Product Summary
The ELM (Encrypted Learn Mode
™
) 4-Button Key-
chain Touchpad is an alkaline battery-powered, wire-
less touchpad that allows users to arm and disarm
their system, activate a police or auxiliary panic
alarm, or activate a panel or SnapCard
™
output.
Encrypted signal transmissions (or rolling code) pro-
vide higher security and virtually eliminate signal
fraud.
The touchpad is designed to fit on a keychain, in a
pocket or purse.
Installation Guidelines
Use the following guidelines when adding Keychain
Touchpads to the system:
■
Keychain Touchpads are learned into the panel as
sensors.
■
Each learned Keychain Touchpad uses one of the
available sensor numbers.
■
Keychain Touchpads are learned into unsuper-
vised groups (since they don’t send supervisory
signals) that determine how the panel responds
when the lock and unlock buttons are pressed
together (police or auxiliary alarm).
■
Keychain Touchpads can be bypassed or deleted.
to prevent lost or stolen ones from operating the
system.

Learning ELM Keychain Touch-
pads into Panel Memory
This section describes how to learn Keychain Touch-
pads into Concord Express panels.
To learn ELM Keychain Touchpads as sensors:
1)
Disarm the system to level 1.

Using an alphanumeric touchpad, enter program
mode by pressing

. The display shows SYSTEM PRO-
GRAMMING.

Press

and the display shows SECURITY.
4)
Press

until the display shows SENSORS,
then press

. The display shows LEARN SEN-
SORS.

and the display shows SENSOR GROUP
0. Select the appropriate unsupervised group
number (01, 03, 06, 07, 32) and press
ƒ
. The
display shows TRIP SENSOR n (n = next avail-
able sensor number).

To change the displayed sensor number, select
the desired number (1 through 24) you want
assigned to the Keychain Touchpad, then press
ƒ
. The display shows TRIP SENSOR n.
7)
Trip the Keychain Touchpad by as follows:
a). Press and release the unlock button quickly
two times before the LED blinks, then press
and hold the unlock button until the LED
blinks three times. Immediately release the
button.
b). Press and release the unlock button one time
before the LED blinks, then press and hold the
unlock button until the LED blinks two times.
Immediately release the button.
c). Press and hold the unlock button until the
LED blinks one time, then immediately
release the button.
The display should advance to the next avail-
able sensor number, after successful learning.
