Hot and Cold Therapy Gel Pack
Instructions
For Hot Therapy:
Place the gel pack fl at in the microwave and set the power level to high. In a
700 − 800 watt microwave, heat the gel pad no more than 50 seconds. To heat
without a microwave, place the gel pack in a large bowl and pour boiling water
over it. Keep the gel pad submersed in the water for a minimum of 2 minutes to
have it heated suffi ciently. Use rubber coated or wooden tongs to remove the gel
pad and reduce the risk of puncture.
For Cold Therapy:
Place the gel pack in a freezer for a minimum of one hour before use. Keep the
gel pack in the freezer longer for colder and longer therapy sessions. To be able to
use your Hot & Cold Therapy Gel Pack for an emergency, keep it in a freezer when
it’s not in use, so it’s always ready for immediate use.
Storage
Keep the gel pad away from extreme heat and open fl ames. Store in a dry place at
room temperature.
Caution
The gel packs can reach very high and low temperatures. Wrap the gel pack in
a cloth or towel before applying it to bare skin. People with known or suspected
circulatory problems should not use this gel pack except under the direct
supervision of a doctor. If the hot or cold therapy becomes uncomfortable,
remove the gel pack for a few minutes, then re-apply.
Warning
For external use only. Harmful if swallowed. If gel solution is swallowed, drink
several glasses of water and contact your poison control center immediately. Do
not puncture outer bag. If the gel pack breaks and the gel comes in contact with
skin of eyes, fl ush with water immediately and call your physician. Keep out of
reach of children. Do not mix with combustible materials.
