Note:

 You will need to purchase 3 x AAA alkaline batteries for the chime

extender

You will require :

A small Philips head screwdriver.

Installation Instructions

Please note: Installing the chime extender on or near metal structures or
reinforced PVC structures may reduce the transmission range. It is preferred
to be adjacent to your door chime.

Install the Plug-in Chime (PC)

Plug the Plug-in Chime into any electrical outlet within the house. The chime
must be within transmission range of the chime extender. The chime will play
all of the tunes that are available when it is first powered up.

Install Batteries in Chime Extender (CE)

Remove the front cover of the Chime Extender by
pressing your index finger on the cover, then slide
the cover down as shown (figure 1) to expose the
battery compartment. Install 3 AAA batteries
into the battery compartment. Make sure that the
batteries are oriented properly. Close the battery
cover.

Program the Plug-in Chime (PC)

Press the pushbutton as shown (figure 2), the PC
will respond with a chime. This indicates that the
chime extender has been programmed to the Plug-in
Chime.

Install the Chime Extender (CE)

Place the chime extender on top of the existing
door chime. Activate the existing door chime.

If the Plug-in Chime sounds, proceed to
mounting. 

If the Plug-in Chime does not sound

increase the microphone sensitivity by turning
the adjustment knob clockwise (Figure 3) and
try again while observing the red LED. The
LED will light when the chime extender is
picking up the chime rings. (If the LED lights,
but the Plug-in Chime does not sound try moving
the Plug-in Chime closer to the chime extender.)

An alternative mounting is to pull out the
microphone from the Chime Extender (figure 4)
and attach it to the existing door chime cover.

Note: 

The Extender is more sensitive when the

battery cover is closed.

a.  Mount the chime extender with Tape

Install the battery cover. Peel the protective sheet from
one side of the double-sided tapes, and apply the tapes
on the rear of the CE (Figure 5a).

b.  Mount the chime extender with Screws

Remove the batteries, drill 2 mounting holes (Figures 5b).
Mount the extender with the 2 screws provided, reinstall the
batteries and close the battery cover.

Sound Selection

Press Button A (Figure 6) until you hear the desired 8 Note, 2 note,
or 1 Note chime. 

NOTE:

 You can change the chime at any time by pressing

this button.

The 

volume adjustment knob C 

(Figure 6) enables you to adjust the volume

of your chime at any time.

To Reset Chime Programming

While plugged into an electrical outlet, press and hold button A and B (Fig. 6)
until the chime sounds. The chime will play all of the chimes available
indicating that previous programs have been erased. Return to the

Plug-in Chime doesn't sound when pushbutton is pressed.

Check that the batteries have been inserted correctly.

 Check the polarity

engraved on the battery compartment.

Extender may be positioned out of range of the door chime.

Move the plug in door chime closer to the Extender.

A metallic object may be blocking the signal to the plug-in door chime from
the Extender position.

 Do not mount the Transmitter on metal or near metal

surface as it reduces the transmission range.

Battery in the Extender may need replacing.

The Extender LED will flash 5 times when the battery needs replacing. See
instruction for installing the Battery.
Note: In cold conditions, poor location or environment, operating at maximum
range it is advisable to replace the battery more frequently (i.e. every 12-18 months)
to maintain optimum performance.

Your Extender and Chime haven’t been programmed.

 Reset the automatic

programming of your chime and Extender by Pressing and holding down chime
selection buttons 

A and B (Figure 6)

 for 5 seconds. The chime will sound all of

the sounds available indicating the programming has been erased. Program the
Extender following the installation instructions.

Adjust the sensitivity control counter-clockwise to reduce sensitivity. (Fig 3)
