Tape Centering 

If the tape is not centered as it travels through the tape shoe guide, the tape mandrel can be 

adjusted in or out to correct this 

Loosen the M18 inverse jam nut on the 

rear of the mandrel as shown in 

Figure 

7-8

 with a 10 mm allen key.

Adjust the shaft in or out as required 

using a flat screwdriver as illustrated in 

Figure

 

7-9

. One full turn of screwdriver 

will displace mandrel 1mm. When the 

tape is centered, tighten the jam nut .
