13. USING THE GUIDE BUSH (See Fig. N, O)
Use this feature to cut out a shape from a template
guide. This is a useful method when you want to repeat
an image. Fix the template guide to the router base
using the two long screws provided.
NOTE: To obtain an exact copy, the workpiece must be
bigger by an amount equal to the distance between the
outer edge of the guide ring and the outer edge of the
cutter.
14. CHANGING THE ROUTER BIT (See Fig. P)
Press the spindle lock button and get the spindle to
latch in place. Loosen the collet nut with the open-
ended spanner. Change the router bit and tighten the
collet nut with the spanner.
NOTE: Remove all adjustment and assembly tools
before starting the machine.
ROUTER BITS
Only use cutter bits with 6mm and 8mm shank.
HSS (High Speed Steel) - for softwood use.
TCT (Tungsten Carbide Tipped) - for use on hardwood,
chipboard, plastics or aluminum
The most commonly used bits are listed below.
1. Panel pilot bit with Drill Point
2. Straight bit
3. V-groove bit
4. Dovetail bit
5. Cove Box bit
