2.1 Safety information

as user manuals or instruction sheets supplied
with this product or optional equipment. If

cautions or instructions, contact a healthcare

2.2 Operating information
This section of the manual contains general safety
information about your product. For specific safety
information, refer to the appropriate section of the manual
and procedures within that section.
WARNING!
– Check all parts for shipping damage before use.
– In case of damage, do not use the equipment.
Contact the dealer or Invacare representative
for further instructions.
WARNING!
– The ceiling hoist must only be operated by
trained personnel.
– Read the instructions carefully before using the
ceiling hoist and in connection with cleaning
and service of the hoist.
– Do not perform any modification to the
equipment.
– The ceiling hoist’s maximum load of 200 kg
must never be exceeded.
– If accessories are rated with a lower load than
200 kg, then this determines the ceiling hoist’s
maximum load.
– The ceiling hoist is advised only to be used to
lift or move a patient.
– The red emergency strap must be adjusted
to the caregiver’s reach, and must not be
removed.
– If the hoist fails, lower patient onto a suitable
surface using the red emergency strap before
continuing the transfer by a different method.
