Belt Splicing System v.2.0
1-1
System Use
The Intralox ThermoDrive Splicing System
quickly and reliably splices Intralox
ThermoDrive
®
conveyor belts.
All Splicing System v.2.0 models operate the
same way. Melting time and temperature
depend on the material being spliced.
The Splicing System requires only standard
electric power for use.

System Components
The Splicing System contains a Clamping Fix-
ture with Cut Guides and a Heat Wand with
Temperature Control Box. Several accessories
are also included with your system.
Top Clamps/Cut Guides
After the belt length is finalized to run without
tension (contact Intralox for assistance as
needed), use the 8026 or 8050 Cut Guide and a
utility knife to prepare the belt ends.
Clamping Fixture
Align prepared belts on the Grooved Decks to
hold belt ends together for melting. Once
melted, remove the Heat Wand and close the
Grooved Decks gently, but quickly, to join the
belt ends.
Heat Wand with
Temperature Control Box
Use the Heat Wand to melt the belt ends in the
Clamping Fixture. The Temperature Control
Box regulates Heat Wand temperature and may
ONLY be used with the Intralox ThermoDrive
Splicing System. Several splices can be com-
pleted in quick succession if plastic residue is
removed from the Heat Wand between each
splice.
