How to install your Nano STAT heater
a.
The plug in power supply is not waterproof
–
this must be mounted so that it cannot fall into the
aquarium. The mains cable must be installed with a drip loop to prevent any water running down the
cable into the plug socket (see image below). Do not operate the heater in an aquarium near or
under an air conditioning unit, in direct sunlight, near a heat source or under a light source which is
on for extended periods of time.
b.
The compact Nano STAT heater is designed to fit in a variety of ways inside the aquarium. Ensure
the heater is fully submerged up to the power cord at all times when in use:
In the aquarium - the heater should be installed at an angle, on the side of the aquarium
using the suckers provided (Image 1 below).
In the back filter
–
where a small aquarium has a back filter the heater can be hidden out of
sight using the suckers to ensure it stays in position (Image 2 below).
Top Tip: If carrying out a water change or before removing the heater from the aquarium, always
turn off the power and let it cool down for approximately 5 minutes.
c.
The Nano STAT heaters come complete with an inbuilt thermostat that automatically turns off the
heating element when the aquarium water temperature reaches 25
ͦ
C. This makes it ideal for
maintaining a stable water temperature all year round, perfect for tropical fish and growing most
tropical plants.

Maintenance
Once a year, switch off the heater then wait 5 minutes and remove from the aquarium
–
wipe off any dirt, algae or mineral deposits on the heater body with a damp cloth. Do not
use cleaning agents that could enter the aquarium and harm your livestock.
The suckers will eventually lose its suction, when this happens it should be replaced, see
Interpet spare codes below.
Top tip: To optimise adhesion clean the glass before applying the heater suckers.
