INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Lamp Type: High Pressure Sodium 70 Watt

NOT FOR USE IN HAZARDOUS ATMOSPHERES

IMPORTANT:      Read instruction sheet carefully before installing fixture.

Retain instructions for future reference.

ELECTRICAL REQUIREMENTS

A qualified electrician should complete all required wiring. This fixture is for use with 120V AC only and 

must be properly grounded for safety. A mounting suitable for outdoor use and rated for wet locations is 

required. Follow all applicable electrical codes and regulations.

WARNING: Electric shock hazard

Disconnect power at circuit breaker or fuse box before installing or servicing light.

WARNING: Fire hazard

USE MIN 90ºC SUPPLY CONDUCTORS.

CONNECT TO SUPPLY IN EXTERNAL JUNCTION BOX ONLY.

Lamp and housing become very hot during use.

Ensure free air circulation around unit to dissipate heat.

Avoid enclosed locations and locations where flammable debris (leaves, cut grass, etc.) might collect.

Avoid locations where humans or animals might accidentally touch fixture.

WARNING: Explosion hazard

Never operate light without fixture lens secured in place. When light is operating, the gas in the lamp is 

at high pressure.

Never operate light if the fixture lens is broken or missing.

WARNING: Explosion hazard

Wear safety glasses and gloves when handling lamp, High Pressure Sodium outer envelope is under

vacuum and could implode. 

MOUNTING & WIRING

1. Remove fixture lens cover by loosening two screws.  (See Figure 2).

2. Remove reflector by loosening two screws to allow the reflector to slide upward until the keyholes

in the reflector release the screws. (See Figure 3).

3. Select mounting style and knock out the appropriate holes. (See Figure 4).

CAUTION: Mount the fixture vertically with lens on bottom. (See Figure 2).

a. Mounting with two bolts - Knock out two slugs in the rear housing. Mount with (2) bolts

or lag screws.

b. Mounting on outlet box - Knock out appropriate holes around outlet hole in rear housing.

Fasten the rear housing to the outlet box using the screws supplied with the outlet box.

c. Optional bottom conduit entrance - Drill out and tap recessed indentation in the bottom of

rear housing.

d. To weather proof the fixture, be sure to seal all holes in fixture housing (mounting

conduit, plugs, photo controls, etc.) with silicone sealant.
