•  For skimmer installation, you will need a drill, razor blade/sharp knife, screw driver, wet towel and Teflon tape.
•  Hose adaptor provided fits 32mm (1¼in) or 38mm (1½in) soft hose (not included). You will need a hose clamp (not included) to secure
  the hose connection.

NOTE

Step 1

Skimmer location

and preparation for

skimmer installation

•  Locate the position on the pool wall panel for the skimmer. The skimmer location should allow the water level

to be approximately at the mid point of the face plate (“E”). Be careful to follow the relevant Panel cut out

pattern when locating the skimmer position, and both skimmer body and extension will not interfere with the

top coping or the lip of the pool structure.

NOTE: Check if there is any special instruction for skimmer assembly in pool instruction manual. Any question,

  contact your pool dealer.

•  Follow the Panel cut out pattern for spacing details, drill the holes and then cut the opening on the pool wall

  accordingly.

NOTE: When cutting the pool wall, have someone hold a wet towel on the inside of the pool to catch any metal

shavings that may fall into the water.

•  Next, locate a desired location on the pool wall for the return fitting K004. The cutout should be approximately

  20cm (8in) below the desired water level. Cut a 6cm (2

3

/

8

in) diameter circle at the location.

NOTE: When cutting the pool wall, have someone hold a wet towel on the inside of the pool to catch any metal

shavings that may fall into the water.

•  Remove any burrs that may cut the liner or yourself during assembly.

Step 2

Skimmer installation

Screw the hose adaptor “N” into the bottom of the skimmer housing “M’. Use the Teflon tape (not included) as a

sealant.

CAUTION: Threads may crack if over tightened. Never use any type of glue on the threads.

•  Open the edges of the double layer gasket (“D”) by pulling aside from the middle and slide it on along the edge of the

skimmer opening on the pool wall. Now the edges of the skimmer opening on the pool wall are covered inside the

edges of the gasket. Make sure the holes on gasket are aligned with the pre-drilled holes on the pool wall.

•  Align the skimmer housing to the holes on the gasket and the pool wall, and fasten with 4 flat head Philips screws.

4 holes for flat head Philips screws are located on the top and bottom of the skimmer housing, 2nd hole from each

  side of housing.

•  Install the pool liner according to the pool instruction. DO NOT cut the holes in the liner at this time. Fill the pool with

water up to approximately 5cm (2in) below the return fitting before proceeding to the next steps. Adjust the liner as

  necessary as pool is filling.

NOTE: Check if there is any special instruction on placing liner in pool instruction manual. Any question, contact your

  pool dealer.

•  Align the face plate (“E”) to the holes on the double layer gasket, pool wall and skimmer housing. Pay attention that

  the marking “ TOP

“

” on the face plate faces up when assembling the face plate. Apply flat head Phillips screws to

all the holes on the face plate to secure the assembly.

•  Now you should have a sandwich of material between face plate and skimmer housing as follows:

Face plate ‘E’, gasket ‘D” with its edge covering the liner and pool wall, and finally the skimmer housing “M”.

•  Cut the liner along the inside edges of the face plate with a razor blade or sharp knife.

WARNING!  Make sure you have taken out razor / knife from the pool.

Step 3

“U”, “V” Face Plate

Cover installation

•  Align the face plate cover to the bottom of face plate. Ensure that the marking “ TOP

“

” on the face plate cover faces

upward. After placing the face plate cover on the bottom of the face plate, push the cover completely onto the face

plate until the tabs on the back of the cover are secured on the notches of the face plate.

Step 4

“I” Weir installation

•  Push the tabs on the bottom toward centre to retract the side pin, and align side pin position to the notch on the

bottom corner of skimmer housing mouth. Release the tabs to lock the weir in place.

Step 5

“J” Skimmer support

installation

•  Put the skimmer support “J” onto the bottom of the skimmer housing and tighten the screw nut to secure its position.

Step 6

•  Put replacement basket “H” inside the skimmer and vacuum plate “G” on top of it.

Step 1

•  Gently press the liner at the circular wall-fitting opening to locate the exact position. Make a circular cutout on the

liner approximately 2cm (¾in) smaller than the opening in the pool wall.

Step 2

•  Disassemble K004 return fitting.

Step 3

•  Screw the hose adapter “Q” into the return fitting cover “R” opposite the flange end. Use Teflon tape (not included)

as a sealant. Place a piece of gasket ”P” on the return fitting “R” and behind the flange.

CAUTION: Threads may crack if over tightened. Never use any type of glue on the threads.

Step 4

•  Insert the hose adapter “Q”, which is preassembled with “P” & “R”, through the pre-cut holes on the inside face of the

pool wall. Now the eyeball side should be inside the pool.

Step 5

•  Place another gasket “P” over the rear of the hose adapter and then screw the lock nut hub “O” onto the hose adapter

  to secure the whole assembly.

Step 7

•  Align the 2 slots along the edge of skimmer cover “F” to the tab on the skimmer top opening. Turn the cover

  anticlockwise until it stops.

WARNING!

Make sure the pump is turned off before opening the cover.

Keep the cover “F” on the skimmer after taking out the basket for cleaning.

Connect your filtration system by connecting the hoses to the hose connector of the skimmer and return fitting. Use hose clamp (not included)

to secure the hose connection.

Before you TURN ON the pump, make sure the pool is filled with water up to the midway of the face plate.

TURN ON your pump to see if any water leakage from the skimmer and return fitting. If water leakage is found, TURN OFF the pump and try

below instructions to resolve the problems before contacting your dealer:

•  Leakage happens on the connection of wide mouth extension to the skimmer housing: tighten the screws which are recessed in the wide

  mouth extension.

•  Leakage happens on the edge of skimmer housing mouth: tighten the screws on the face plate.

•  Leakage happens on the thread connection of hose adaptor to the skimmer housing:

1. Stop the water flow through the skimmer by i) using a plug (not included, purchase it from dealer) to block the outlet hole on the bottom inside

the skimmer housing or ii) draining the water level 2.5cm (1in) or 5cm (2in) below the face plate.

2. Unscrew the hose adapter.

3. Apply more Teflon tape (not included) around the adapter thread and screw it back into skimmer housing.

•  Leakage happens on the edge of the lock nut hub: screw the lock nut hub tightly to compress the gasket. If leakage persists, the leakage may

happen on thread connection of hose adapter:

1. Stop the water flow through the return fitting by i) unscrewing the eyeball cover and removing the eyeball, using a plug (not included, purchase

it from dealer) to block the hole or ii) draining the water level 2.5cm (1in) or 5cm (2in) below the return fitting.
