Analog Endpoint User Guide
MOVING ON
To search for a directory name or feature using IDS:
1.
Dial
and select one of the following options:
•
Press
for the Intercom directory.
•
Press
for the Outside directory.
•
Press
for the Feature directory.
2.
Press the dialpad buttons to enter characters (up to 16 characters). See the fol-
lowing table for dialpad button character descriptions. Each dialpad button rep-
resents several characters. As you press the dialpad buttons, the system connects
the character sequence to possible directory matches. For example, to enter
JONES, press
.
This data entry method is similar to the “text
on nine keys (T9)” feature found on cell phones.
3.
Press the high/low end of the volume button to move alphabetically (or numeri-
cally) through the directory. If the endpoint does not have a volume button or
arrow menu buttons, you will not be able to scroll through the entries.
4.
Press
to dial a number or activate a feature code while the entry is displayed,
or press
to cancel and and start over.

Dial or performs the first entry
Move to the next match (ignored if there is no previous match)
Move to the previous match (ignored if there is no previous
match)
Move the cursor to the preceding space, deleting existing char-
acters (if programmed)
