Installing and Removing the Intel
®
RAID Smart Battery
Before installing or removing the Intel
®
RAID Smart Battery, please make sure following steps are
performed.
1.
Ensure the AC power cord(s) are disconnected from the system.
2.
Remove the system cover. For instructions, see

1.
Connect the cable between the BBU and the RAID card. For details, see
Intel
®
RAID Smart
Battery User’s Guide.
2.
Position the battery against chassis (see letter
A
).
3.
Align the tabs on the plastic battery holder with the mounting holes in the chassis and slide in
the plastic battery holder until the tabs engage with the mounting holes (see letter
B
).
