Replacing a Backplane
7.4.1
Removing the Backplane

1.
Power off the system and remove the system top cover (see Section 2.2.1).
2.
Remove all hot-swap drive carriers, regardless of whether a drive is installed in the carrier.
3.
Disconnect all cables from the backplane.
4.
Remove all fastener screws securing the backplane to drive bay (see Letter “A”).
5.
Slide the backplane up from the bottom of the chassis (see Letter “B”).
6.
Remove the backplane from the server chassis (see Letter “C”).
