Clearing Passwords
This procedur e assum es t hat t he board is inst alled in t he com put er and t he
configurat ion j um per is set t o norm al m ode.
1. Observ e t he pr ecaut ions in " Befor e You Begin" on page 23.
2. Turn off all peripheral devices connect ed t o t he com put er. Turn off t he com put er.
Disconnect t he com put er’s pow er cord from t he AC pow er source ( w all out let or
pow er adapt er) .
3. Rem ove t he com put er cov er.
4. Find t he configurat ion j um per block ( see Figure 14) .
5. Place t he j um per on pins 2- 3.
6. Replace t he cover, plug in t he com put er , t urn on t he com put er , and allow it t o
boot .
7. The com put er st art s t he Set up pr ogram . Set up displays t he Maint enance m enu.
8. Use t he arr ow k ey s t o select Clear Passw ords. Press < Ent er> and Set up displays a
pop- up screen request ing t hat you confirm clear ing t he passw ord. Select Yes and
press < Ent er> . Set up displays t he m aint enance m enu again.
9. Press < F10> t o save t he curr ent values and exit Set up.
10. Turn off t he com put er . Disconnect t he com put er’s pow er cord from t he AC pow er
sour ce.
11. Rem ove t he com put er cov er.
12. To rest or e norm al operat ion, place t he j um per on pins 1- 2.
13. Replace t he cover, plug in t he com put er , and t urn on t he com put er.
