16. BACKUP TABLES
IMPORTANT NOTES:
1.
Backup times shown in this section are approximate. Some values have been measured in lab tests while others have been
calculated using discharge tables supplied by battery manufacturers.
2.
The deeper the battery discharge, shorter their lifespan will be. For instance: a GEL battery can manage about 400 deep 100%
discharge. If discharges are down to 50%, the number of discharges can rise up over 1200 cycles.
3.
Therefore, we strongly recommend do not discharge batteries under 50% to keep their life expectancy as long as possible.
Hence even though this inverter can manage battery discharge until 10.5VDC per battery, we recommend not using this
feature up to the limit but using a higher cut-off voltage instead. This will give a shorter backup time, but on the other hand it
will increase the discharge cycle number significantly during battery’s life.
LIFE EXPECTANCY ACCORDING TO TYPO OF DESCARGES:
BATTERY TYPE
100% Discharge Cycles
50% Discharge Cycles
30% Discharge Cycles
VRLA-AGM
300
600
1.300
GEL
400
1.200
2.400
4.
Thus, backup times displayed in this section assume a cut-off voltage of 11.5VDC per battery, representing 50% Discharge,
as explained in point #3.
Tables in this section show backup times for all available models of
LBU-ONL
, with different loads, for several battery arrays.
Each model has its own DC Battery Nominal Voltage. This is important to prepare battery arrays accordingly.
