Display and Key Functions
Both operating units feature the following control elements (positions see above within
the description of the operating units:
1)
2-line alphanumeric display with lighting;
after activation the
system menu
is on display with definable text in the first line
and date / time in the second line:

following (>) menu item and to select input

for affirming / entering the selected menu item / input value

in order to cancel:
press and release
-> selects the menu displayed previously
during code input
-> undoes entering a number
press and hold 3 sec.
-> selects the system menu
The screen text will be displayed flashing after about 30 seconds without user input. If
the user still does not enter anything, the system menu will be displayed for some
seconds and the display will turn blank. You can activate the display by pressing any
key.
Depending on the system variant, code is entered via numeric keys or via the menu
keys and Clear- / Enter-keys. A socket for connecting the emergency power is at the
bottom of the operating unit.

Hotkeys
In addition to navigating the menus of the display of the operation unit, you can define
keys 0-9 of the keys of the operating unit
to become ‘hotkeys’. With operating unit
FlatControl, keys F1 and F2 can be used, too. You can do this via one of the optional
software programs.
If you press any of these hotkeys immediately after activating the display of the operating
unit, the selected menu will be displayed right away. Thus, the navigation required to
access the menu ordinarily becomes superfluous.

In case
the system settings include ’code input with numeric keys’, this parameter
remains valid. The system switches the function of the keys some seconds after the
activation of the display automatically.
