INSYS ADSL 1.1
Function
29
12
Function
12.1
General Functional Description
The INSYS ADSL 1.1 tries to achieve the "Showtime" condition automatically, i.e. it
tries permanently to synchronise with the DSLAM.
The IP address of the INSYS ADSL 1.1 is only required to access the management
interface of the INSYS ADSL 1.1. The IP address is not required for the actual oper-
ation, the transport of Ethernet packets. If the INSYS ADSL 1.1 is to be operated at
an IP device (e.g. router), which already has an IP address in the same network like
the INSYS ADSL 1.1 (192.168.1.0/24), it is recommended to change the IP address
of the INSYS ADSL 1.1 that is is in a different network. Otherwise, TCP connection
requests to the IP address 192.168.1.1, port 15000 might cause that the manage-
ment interface replies instead of the actually desired remote terminal.
Note
Access to the management interface!
Possible unavailability of the management interface.
Please make y note of the configured IP address and the
port. The management interface cannot be accessed
without these data.
