INSYS GSM small 2.0
Functions
11.5.2
Phone connection
The correct connection protocol must be selected for a data connection with a de-
vice outside the GSM network (analogue modem or ISDN TA). This setting is not
effective for data connection to a GSM device. The automatic negotiation of the
connection protocol allows the INSYS GSM small 2.0 to negotiate the highest pos-
sible connection speed with the remote terminal during connection setup. The
speed depends on the settings and the abilities of the modem at the remote termi-
nal. The connection speed can be set through the phone line via the connection
protocol. If nothing is defined, the INSYS GSM small 2.0 will automatically try to
determine the optimum connection parameters.
Configuration with HSComm
In order to configure the connection protocol, select on the "Basic set-
tings" tab in the "Protocol" panel the respective setting.
