Warning
You must use RCD (residual-current device), also known as GFCI (Ground Fault
Circuit Interruption) protection on all power sources if your testing system includes
water or any other fluid.
If your system includes any fluids (e.g. water-cooled grips, BioPuls baths, food testing
fixtures), you must use RCD protection on all power sources to protect the operator from
fluids that might leak into the load frame electronics.
Power Cord Selections
When you place your order you can choose the voltage required. If you do not make a
choice, Instron chooses the cord according to the customary voltage that matches the
shipping destination for the system.
Instron provides the appropriate male plug, as shown in the following tables. It is the
customer’s responsibility to provide the appropriate female receptacle for the plug.
If desired, the plug may be removed for a direct wire installation.
