General Operation
Pre-operation Set Up for Inspection:
The IV-2 full-size reel should be placed on a level surface near the pipe needing inspection. The IV-2 full-size
Reel is designed to be utilized in either a vertical or horizontal configuration. If utilized in the horizontal
configuration assure that there is clearance between the battery and surface that your IV-2 reel is resting on.
The IV-2 full size reel has been designed to utilize
the included 12V power supply or a 18V battery to
provide power to the system. If both power sources
are attached to the unit, the IV-2 full size reel will
default to the 12V power supply (Note: The IV-2 full
size reel will not charge the battery).
The power button is located on the Hub block and
has separate power ON and power OFF buttons.
When the power ON button is pressed the LED
power light will illuminate. If the unit is powered by the 18V battery the LED will flash when low battery power
has been detected. It is advised to complete the inspection and install a fully charged battery or utilize the
included 12V power supply.
The IV-2 full size reel powers on with the 12 camera LEDs at half power. The LED level should be adjusted to
provide optimal viewing in the current pipe. Utilize the LED +/- buttons to adjust the LEDs to the desired level.
How to Release the Brake:
Your IV-2 full size reel has been equipped with a
ratchet style reel brake allowing for adjustment of
drum rotation. Before removing pushrod from the IV-
2 reel the brake must be released, failure to do so will
reduce the accuracy of the distance counter.
