Overview
The EE1247 is an acoustic glassbreak sensor that transmits digital RF messages to
Inovonics Wireless FA receivers. The glassbreak sensor module is the wireless
ShatterPro, manufactured by GE Interlogix, Inc. The wireless transmitter module is
manufactured by Inovonics Wireless Corporation.

Installation and Startup
Install the Battery
Before installing the EE1247 glassbreak transmitter you will need to install the
battery. To install the battery:
1.
Press the housing release tab on the bottom of the EE1247 housing; pull the
housing apart.
2.
Install the battery.
ETSI Requirements
To meet ETSI requirements, Inovonics has developed a new line of EE 868MHz-only
products. These new 868MHz-only products are compatible with older systems that
include EchoStream select products. If you are using any ES products in your
current system, you will need to enable EchoStream select compatibility on this new
868MHz-only product. To enable/disable EchoStream select compatibility:
1.
To enable compatibility with ES products, place a selection jumper on the enable
EchoStream Select selection pins.
2.
If no ES products are used in your system, remove the selection jumper from the
EchoStream Select selection pins.
Register the Transmitter
EE1247 transmitters must be registered. Refer to receiver, network coordinator or
control panel installation instructions to register the EE1247 transmitter. Press Reset
when prompted to register the transmitter.
Mount the EE1247
1.
Use the provided anchors and screws to mount the EE1247, paying careful
consideration to the following best practices:
•
To avoid false alarms, install the unit as a perimeter zone that is armed only
when the perimeter doors and windows are armed. Installing the unit as a 24-
hour zone can create false alarms.
•
Mount the EE1247 at least .91 m (3ft) from the window to be monitored, but no
more than 7.62 m (25ft) away.
•
Mount the EE1247 at least 1.2 m (4 ft) away from noise sources (televisions,
speakers, sinks, doors, etc.).
•
Mount the EE1247 so that it is in direct line of sight of all windows to be
protected.
•
The best location for mounting the EE1247 is on the wall opposite of the
window to be protected. The EE1247 may also be mounted on the wall
adjoining the window to be protected, or on the ceiling.
•
The glass should have the following dimensions:
- Height and Weight: 0.3 m x 0.6 m (1 x 2ft) or larger
- Plate thickness: 2.4 mm to 6.4 mm (3/32" to 1/4")
- Tempered thickness: 3.2 mm to 6.4 mm (1/8" to 1/4")
- Wired thickness: 6.4 mm (1/4")
- Laminated thickness: 3.2 mm to 6.4 mm (1/8" to 1/4")
•
Avoid glass airlocks and glass vestibule areas, noisy kitchens and residential
car garages.
•
Avoid rooms smaller than 3 x 3 m (10 x 10 ft), such as small utility rooms,
stairwells and small bathrooms.
•
Because the unit is not hermetically sealed, avoid humid rooms.
•
Avoid rooms where white noise, such as air compressor noise, is present. (A
blast of compressed air may cause a false alarm.)
•
Avoid rooms with noise insulation or sound-deadening drapes or with closed,
wooden window shutters inside.
•
Avoid placing the EE1247 in the corner of a room.
Test the EE1247
The EE1247 should be tested following installation.
1.
Remove the jumper from the tamper pins to test the transmitter. This should
cause a tamper fault.
2.
To confirm the sensor has power and the microphone and circuit board are
functioning, clap your hands loudly in front of the sensor. The LED will blink
twice, but the alarm will not trip.
3.
For full functionality testing, use the Sentrol 5709C acoustic glassbreak tester to
switch the unit into test mode and simulate alarm conditions via sonic bursts.

Note:
Changes or modifications to this unit not expressly approved by Inovonics
Wireless Corporation may void the installer's authority to operate the equipment as
well as the product warranty.
Inovonics Wireless Corporation ("Inovonics") warrants its products ("Product" or
"Products") to conform to its own specifications and to be free of defects in materials
and workmanship under normal use for a period of twenty-four (24) months from the
date of manufacture. Within the warranty period, Inovonics will repair or replace, at
its option, all or any part of the warranted Product. Inovonics will not be responsible
for dismantling and/or reinstallation charges. To exercise the warranty, the User
("User", "Installer" or "Consumer") must work directly through their authorized
distributor who will be given a Return Material Authorization ("RMA") number by
Inovonics. Details of shipment will be arranged directly through the authorized
distributor.
This warranty is void in cases of improper installation, misuse, failure to follow
installation and operating instructions, alteration, accident or tampering, and repair
by anyone other than Inovonics.
This warranty is exclusive and expressly in lieu of all other warranties, obligations or
liabilities, whether written, oral, express, or implied. There is no warranty by
Inovonics that Inovonics product will be merchantable or fit for any particular
purpose, nor is there any other warranty, expressed or implied, except as such is
expressly set forth herein. In no event shall Inovonics be liable for an incidental,
consequential, indirect, special, or exemplary damages, including but not limited to
loss of profit, revenue, or contract, loss of use, cost of down time, or interruption of
business, nor any claim made by distributor's customers or any other person or
entity.
This warranty will not be modified or extended. Inovonics does not authorize any
person to act on its behalf to modify or extend this warranty.
This warranty will apply only to Inovonics Products. Inovonics will not be liable for any
direct, incidental, or consequential damage or loss whatsoever, caused by the
malfunction of Product due to products, accessories, or attachments of other
manufacturers, including batteries, used in conjunction with Inovonics Products.

hinanden.

Sæt batteriet i.
ETSI-krav
För att uppfylla ETSI-kraven, har Inovonics utvecklat en ny rad produkter som är ”EE
868MHz-enbart”. Dessa nya ”868MHz-enbart” produkter är kompatibla med äldre
system som inkluderar valda EchoStream-produkter. Om du använder någon ES-
produkt i ditt nuvarande system, måste du friställa EchoStream kompatibilitetsval på
denna nya ”868MHz-enbart” produkt. För att aktivera/avaktivera EchoStream
kompatibilitetsval:
1.
För att aktivera kompatibilitet med ES-produkter, placeras en valkoppling på
EchoStreams Select valstift.
2.
Om inga ES-produkter används i ditt system, ta bort valkopplingen från
EchoStreams Select valstift.
Registrering af senderen
EE1247 senderne skal registreres. Se i installationsanvisningerne til modtageren,
netværkskoordinatoren eller kontrolpanelet, for at registrere EE1247 senderen. Tryk

, når du bliver bedt om at registrere senderen.
Montering af EE1247
1.
Brug de medfølgende rawlplugs og skruer til at montere EE1247, idet der
omhyggeligt tages hensyn til nedenstående, som er den korrekte
monteringsmåde:
•
For at undgå falske alarmer, installeres enheden som en overvåget zone, der
kun er tilkoblet når de omkredsede døre og vinduer er tilkoblede. Installering af
enheden som en 24-timers zone kan forårsage falske alarmer.
•
Montér EE1247 mindst 0,91 m fra det vindue, som skal overvåges, men heller
ikke længere end 7,62 m væk.
•
Montér EE1247 mindst 1,2 m væk fra støjkilder (fjernsyn, højttalere,
håndvaske, døre m.v.).
•
Montér EE1247 sådan, at den er i lige synslinie for alle vinduer som skal
overvåges.
•
Det bedste sted at placere EE1247 er på væggen lige overfor det vindue, som
skal sikres. EE1247 kan også monteres på den væg, som støder op til det
vindue, der skal sikres - eller i loftet.
•
Glasset skal have følgende dimensioner:
- Højde og vægt: 0,3 m x 0,6 m eller større
- Tykkelse, alm.glas: 2,4 mm til 6,4 mm
- Tykkelse, hærdet: 3,2 mm til 6,4 mm
•
Undgå svingdøre og vestibuleområder af glas, støjende køkkener og
bilgarager.
•
Undgå rum, som er mindre end 3 x 3 m, som f.eks. små værktøjsrum,
trappeopgange og små badeværelser.
•
Undgå fugtige rum, fordi enheden ikke er hermetisk forseglet.
•
Undgå rum, hvor der er hvidevarestøj fra f.eks. en luftkompressor. (Et pust af
trykluft kan forårsage en falsk alarm.)
•
Undgå rum med lydisolering, lyddæmpende gardiner, eller med lukkede
vinduesskodder af træ indvendigt.
•
Undgå at placere EE1247 i et hjørne af rummet.
Afprøvning af EE1247
EE1247 skal afprøves efter installering. Selv om en fuld afprøvning af funktionsevnen
kræver anvendelse af den akustiske glasbrudstester Sentrol 5709C, som sætter
enheden i testmode, og simulerer alarmtilstande ved hjælp af lydmæssige knæk, så
kan EE1247 testes i praksis på følgende måde:
1.
Fjern jumperen fra de pins, som er til sabotagefunktionen, for at teste senderen.
Dette skal forårsage en sabotagefejl.
2.
Klap højt i hænderne foran sensoren, for at teste mikrofonen. LED´en vil blinke
to gange, men alarmen vil ikke blive udløst.

Installation et démarrage
Installation de la pile
Avant d'installer l'émetteur de bris de verre EE1247, vous devez installer la pile. Pour
installer la pile :
1.
Appuyez sur la languette d'ouverture située au sommet du boîtier de l'EE1247 ;
séparez le boîtier en deux.
2.
Installez la pile.
Spécifications de l’ETSI
Pour respecter les spécifications de l’ETSI, Inovonics a développé une nouvelle ligne
de produits EE 868 MHz uniquement. Ces nouveaux produits 868 MHz uniquement
sont compatibles avec les modèles plus anciens qui intègrent les produits
EchoStream select. Si votre système actuel comporte un produit ES, vous devrez
activer la compatibilité avec EchoStream sur ce nouveau produit 868 MHz
uniquement. Pour activer/désactiver la compatibilité avec EchoStream select :
To enable/disable EchoStream select compatibility:
1.
Pour activer la compatibilité avec les produits ES, placez un cavalier de sélection
sur les broches d’activation de EchoStream Select selection.
2.
Si votre système ne comporte aucun produit E, retirez le cavalier de sélection
des broches EchoStream Select selection.
Enregistrement de l'émetteur
Les émetteurs EE1247 doivent être enregistrés. Consultez les instructions
d'installation du récepteur, du coordonnateur réseau ou du panneau de commande
pour enregistrer l'émetteur EE1247. Appuyez sur
Reset
quand vous y êtes invité
pour enregistrer l'émetteur.
Installation du détecteur EE1247
1.
Utilisez les points d'attache et les vis fournis pour installer le EE1247 en
respectant les pratiques suivantes :
•
Pour éviter les fausses alarmes, n'installez l'unité dans une zone à surveiller
que lorsque les portes et les fenêtres sont armées. L'installation de l'unité dans
une zone utilisée 24h/24 peut provoquer de fausses alarmes.
•
Fixez le EE1247 à 0,91 m au moins de la fenêtre à contrôler, sans dépasser
7,62 m.
•
Montez le EE1247 à plus de 1,2 m des sources de bruit (télévisions, haut-
parleurs, éviers, portes ; etc.).
•
Montez le EE1247 afin qu'il soit dans la ligne de mire de toutes les fenêtres à
protéger.
•
Le meilleur emplacement d'installation du EE1247 est le mur opposé à la
fenêtre à protéger. Le EE1247 peut également être monté sur le mur prés de la
fenêtre à protéger ou sur le plafond.
•
Le verre doit présenter les dimensions suivantes :
- Hauteur et poids : 0,3 m x 0,6 m ou plus
- Epaisseur de la plaque de verre : 2,4 mm à 6,4 mm
- Epaisseur du verre trempé : 3,2 mm à 6,4 mm
- Epaisseur du verre armé : 6,4 mm
- Epaisseur du verre feuilleté : 3,2 mm à 6,4 mm
•
Evitez les clapets à air et les vestibules en verre, les cuisines bruyantes et les
garages résidentiels.
•
Evitez les pièces dont les dimensions sont inférieures à 3 x 3m, comme les
buanderies, les cages d'escalier et les petites salles de bain.
•
Etant donné que l'unité n'est pas hermétiquement scellée, évitez les pièces
humides.
•
Evitez les pièces où un bruit blanc, comme le bruit des compresseurs d'air, est
présent. (Une bouffée d'air comprimé pourrait provoquer une fausse alarme.)
•
Evitez les pièces insonorisées, ou avec des tentures isolantes, ou closes avec
des volets en bois à l'intérieur.
•
Evitez de placer le détecteur EE1247 dans le coin d'une pièce.
Test du détecteur EE1247
Le EE1247 doit être testé après l'installation. Bien que le contrôle de toutes les
fonctionnalités nécessite l'utilisation du testeur pour bris de vitre acoustique Sentrol
5709C, qui permet de basculer l'unité en mode de test et de simuler les conditions
d'alarme à l'aide de rafales soniques, le EE1247 peut être testé sur site de la
manière suivante :
1.
Enlevez le cavalier des broches anti-sabotage pour tester l'émetteur. Cette
action doit entraîner une erreur du système anti-sabotage.
2.
Tapez fortement vos mains l'une contre l'autre devant le détecteur pour tester le
microphone. La DEL clignote deux fois, mais l'alarme ne se déclenche pas.

utilisation, d'un non respect des instructions d'installation et d'opération, d'altérations,
d'accidents ou d'anti-sabotages, et de réparations par une personne extérieure au
service aprés-vente d'Inovonics. Cette garantie est exclusive et remplace
expressément toute autre garantie, obligation ou responsabilité, qu'elles soient
écrites, orales, explicites ou implicites. Inovonics ne fournit aucune garantie sur le
fait que le produit Inovonics sera commercialisable ou adéquat pour une utilisation
spécifique, ni ne fournit de garantie, explicite ou implicite, autres que celles fournies
expressément dans le document ci-inclus. En aucun cas Inovonics ne sera
