Instructions for wireless Cat & Dog Doorbell
ENGLISH
Artnr.CB502
Important!
Read Section 1.3 before mounting!
1.0 Cat & Dog Door Bell:
1
2
Consists of wireless infrared sensor (1) and bell (2) with light and sound.
1.1 Function:
IR sensor (1) installed easily where the cat or dog usually waiting to be let in. The bell (2) are then placed within any indoor. The bell (2) can
easily be moved between different rooms. When the cat/dog comes to the "waiting place" the bell (2) flash and rings indoors. Fitted with
appropriate screws.
Important! Mount the sensors angle according to instructions 1.4.
1.2 Install the Batteries: Use only alkaline batteries.

3
Sensor 1:
•
Open the battery lid by turning up the screw with a small star chisel.
•
Place a 9 volt, battery size 6LR61 (alkaline) and pressure fixed electrical plugs and place the battery in the inside of
the sensor. Assemble the battery lid, make sure that the lid and sensor house is firmly pressed together before
screwing them together.
•
Activate the sensor with the on/off button on the top of the sensor. A red lamp in the sensor window will light when the
sensor is activated by movements.
Bell 2:
•
Pull off the battery cover (3) to the ring bell (2).
•
Place 3 x 1.5 volt size batteries LR03/AA in the right direction (2).
•
Replace the cover (3).
1.3 Test cycle
When the infrared sensor (1) is activated a test cycle starts and runs about 1 min. The sensor cannot be used before the
process is complete.
1.4 Location of sensor:
1
2 3
Install the sensor (1) where the cat/dog usually is waiting to be let in. Use appropriate screws. Try the right angle and position, mark
the holes and then remove the attachment loop before mounting with screws. Place the sensor in the mounting loop.
Place the sensor (1) as close to the cat's "waiting place" as possible. If the cat’s “waiting place” is the windowsill adjust the sensor so
it only monitors the area of the windowsill.
Try to adjust the sensor (1) so it’s not affected by the environment outside the "waiting place". The sensor should be positioned and
angled downwards along the window, wall, etc. to not be affected by the environment (2). Avoid tilting the sensor outwards, where it
then can detect other things moving in the environment (3).
If the sensor’s detecting range is too wide, adjust and minimize by simply placing normal cover tape on the sensor’s (1) detecting
window. Before mounting the sensor (1), try to set the detecting range so it’s set to your needs.
1.6 The bell can work in 4 ways and has a adjustable volume control.
2
The bell (2) has a default setting sound and light mode.
•
Button (A) choice of different sounds. New sounds at each press.
•
Button (B) light and speakers = both sound and light activated.
•
Button (C) speakers = only sound.
•
Button (D) light = only flashlight.
•
Button (E) adjust clockwise for higher sound, and counter clockwise to lower the sound.
Troubleshooting:
The bell does not sound when you try to activate the sensor:
•
At the first activation of the sensor initiates a heating cycle for about 2 minutes before it is activated.
The bell rings in the meantime.
•
Check the batteries in the sensor (1) and bell (2) so they are well placed in right position at the battery compartment.
•
The distance is too long between the devices. Change location of the bell/receiver.
The bell rings all the time or when a person passes the sensor:
•
The sensor is wrongly placed and activated by something in its surroundings. Tilt the sensor more towards the window,
wall, etc to minimize the detecting angle. See point 1.4.
•
Activation of the sensor initiates a heating cycle for about 2 minutes before it is activated. The bell sounds in the
meantime.
