8-1 Charging Instructions
Charging instructions depend on the package. See the following instructions and
reference page 14-15.
ENSURE THE BATTERY AND CHARGER ARE NEAR ROOM TEMPERATURE
BEFORE CHARGING THE BATTERY. DO NOT CHARGE IN THE BATTERY
IN EXTREMELY HOT OR COLD AREAS. THE BATTERY CAPACITY MAY BE
DECREASED IF CHARGED IN AN EXTREME TEMPERATURE ENVIRONMENT.
8-1-1 How to Charge the Battery
The battery charging instructions only work with Package 1; see page 14.
Charge the battery for a minimum of 3 hours before using the device for the first
time. It takes 4-6 hours to charge an empty battery to full.
When the battery has been depleted the device powers off automatically and
without warning. Check the battery level by pressing the button on the side of
the battery. Each green bar is equal to ~25%.

Plug the jack end of the power adapter into the battery charging base.

Align the battery to the battery charging base; then,
insert batteries into
the battery charging base.
3. Plug the power adapter cord of
the battery charging base into a 110v/120V
electrical outlet.

Operation Instructions
WHEN THE BATTERY IS NOT PLACED IN THE BATTERY CHARGING BASE THE
INDICATOR LIGHT IS RED. THE LIGHT REMAINS RED WHEN THE BATTERY IS
PLACED AND CHARGING. THE CHARGER LED TURNS GREEN WHEN CHARGING
IS COMPLETE.
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CHARGE THE BATTERY WHILE IT IS INSIDE THE DEVICE.
IT TAKES 4-6 HOURS TO CHARGE AN EMPTY BATTERY TO FULL.
