4.18 Option UV sterilisation of the air supply
The air supply to the incubator is sterilized using two units with UV
lamps that are installed between the rear wall of the housing and
the lining of the incubation chamber.
The UV sterilisation lamps emit high-energy UV radiation with a
wavelength of 253.7 nm. The air drawn in by the cross-flow fans is
fed through this light trap. The UV radiation kills any
microorganisms in the air supply.

The picture on the left shows the position of the UV sterilisation
units behind the stainless steel lining of the incubation chamber.
The UV sterilisation units are not visible.

The switch for the air sterilisation unit is located on the left-hand
