10. The 3 holes in the IQ 1000 relay are labeled “N.O.,” “COM” and
“N.C.”
•
N.O. (Normally Open):
This circuit is normally open. When the
relay is activated the circuit closes, causing the bell or buzzer
to go off. A vast majority of our customers connect their bells
using this port, as opposed to using the “N.C.” port.
•
COM (Common):
One end of the positive wire is
always
inserted
into the Common port.
•
N.C. (Normally Closed):
This circuit is normally closed. When
the relay is activated the circuit opens, causing the bell or
buzzer to go off. In most cases, this port will not be used.
