3.
Place your finger on the template reader. To ensure correct place-
ment, the finger should be placed with the first joint of the finger
against the raised ridge at the base of the reader screen, and with the
fingertip pressed firmly against the screen. Once your finger ID has
been verified, the following message is displayed:
PRESS GRAY KEYS OR
IN/OUT, MEAL/BREAK
[ENTER] TO ACCEPT
Note:
The clock will only display the punching options that have
been enabled in the clock’s System Options menu.
4.
Press the <DEPT> button on the clock keypad. The following is
displayed:
SCROLL UP/DOWN OR
USE LETTER KEYS TO
SEARCH FOR NAME,
OR [CLR] TO EXIT
5.
There are two different methods for selecting a department at the
clock:
•
The <IN> and <OUT> keys double as scroll up/down keys.
Scroll through a list of the available departments in the clock.
Press <ENTER> to select.
•
Each number on the clock keypad is also assigned to letters
(much like the buttons on a cellular phone). Press the appropri-
ate button on the clock keypad to scroll through each letter. For
example, to begin your search with the letter “F,” the <3> key
would be pressed 3 times. As you enter each character, the
clock will display the matching search options in alphabetical
order. Use the scroll keys to select the desired department, and
press <ENTER>.
Note:
The departments available at the clock have been down-
loaded from the TimeForce II system using On Demand. Only
departments that have been set up in the program will be available
for selection at the clock.
6.
The clock prompts you to select whether you would like this punch
to be a “TRANSFER” or an “OVERRIDE.”
