Monitoring of internal supply voltages and bandgaps
The integrated voltage monitoring function monitors internal supply voltages in order to ensure proper
operation. If proper operation can not be ensured, then the device reacts accordingly, see
The device features two independent voltage references:
•
for the voltage regulators
•
for voltage monitoring
The device supervises the difference between the voltage references internally.
If the difference exceeds a predefined warning threshold, then the device generates an interrupt and sets one of
the following status flags depending on the internal root cause:
. Based on this information the system can be designed to react appropriately.
If the difference exceeds a predefined fault threshold, then the device shuts down and changes into FAULT state,
as proper operation of the device can not be ensured. Depending on the internal root cause the device sets
