4 Troubleshooting
4.1 Faulty Symptoms
Faulty Symptoms Possible Reasons Action
No sound in Measuring Mode and
Locating Mode.
Sound volume set too low. Press the speaker icon to increase
the volume.
Broken speaker or speaker cable
loose.
Change to a new speaker or connect
loose cable.
Nothing appears on the display,
no sound.
Broken fuse. Replace the fuse.
Power Cables broken. Replace the broken Power Cable.
Discharged battery. Charge the battery. Check battery
quality.
Main PCB broken. Change to a new main PCB.
Nothing appears on the display. Display broken or lamp cable loose. Check cable and/or Change Display.
Display is lit and all white. Main PCB broken or display cable
loose.
Check cable and/or Change Display.
Touch function on display not
working.
Display broken or touch cable
loose.
Check cable and/or Change Display.
Dead pixels or black lines on
display.
Display broken. Change display.
Bad sound from the speaker. Broken speaker. Change speaker and/or check loose
parts that can vibrate.
Short operation time on Portable
Model.
Old or broken battery. Change the battery.
Time and date are reset at restart. The clock battery is empty. Change the battery on main PCB.
Settings lost on restart. The Main PCB Memories broken
(Flash Memories).
Change to a new main PCB.
Low or no gas sensitivity. Old or broken gas sensor. Change to a new sensor.
Probe broken. Change probe PCB and/or new
probe pipe with new cables.
Probe lamp not lit. Broken lamp. Change lamp cable.
Broken probe PCB. Change probe PCB.
Display not lit or is only partially
working.
Broken display or probe PCB. Change probe PCB.
Nothing appears on the display. Display broken or lamp cable loose. Check cable and/or Change Display.
