Adjusting the UPS
Adjusting the UPS
The UPS is shipped fully adjusted.
Requirements for adjusting the UPS
§
Controllable power supply
§ Load
§
PayCon adaptor
§ Fluke scope meter
§
Software (must be loaded before the UPS can be adjusted.)
Perform the following actions:
§ Load the software in the UPS.
§
Connect the controllable power supply to the UPS where normally the batteries are placed.
§ Connect the load on the JST connector where normally the PayCon is connected.
§ Power the net adaptor in a wall socket.
§
Set the power supply Voltage on 13.7 Volt.
§ Turn the pot meter R18 till the led D11 (right side UPS) switches on.
§
Measure with the Fluke scope meter the tension on the load. Turn the Fluke scope meter to trigger
tension 11 Volt. (Time base 20 milliseconds)
§
Remove the adaptor from the wall socket and monitor if the tension towards the load does not reach
under the 10 Volt. Adjust the value of R13 till the tension dip stays above the 10 Volt before the UPS
battery takes over the power. (see photo)
After these actions the UPS is adjusted and the preset pots can be sealed. Now load the final UPS software
