QUATRA

Receiver Instructions

Dear Customer,
Thank you for purchasing the 5-channel FM receiver QUATRA  from IKARUS.

Features

The receiver is equipped with the features TSR, and DSP.

TSR:

Transmitter Signature Recognition (recognizing the transmitter features)

When switching on the receiver for the first time, it will recognize and save the typical features of your transmitter
(modulation type, number of channels, impulse and frame impulse frequency). Each time you switch on the receiver
it will update the saved signals.

DSP:

 Digital Signal Processing

Micro processor decoder with adaptive algorithms based on signal amplitude/ received signal noise ratio. The micro
processor includes a filter system.

The receiver operates with miniature crystals.

Operation

IMPORTANT! PAY ATTENTION:
1.

Switch on the transmitter first, than the receiver.

2.

Switch off the receiver first, than the transmitter

You may connect 4 servos to the receiver. If all connectors are occupied, the receiver power supply can be connected
via a Y-cable. You also may use a Y-cable in case you want to use a 2 servo aileron set up.

Location of the antenna

Place the receiver in soft foam as far away as possible from any current carrying conductors and leads. In models
made with conducting materials (i.e. carbon fibers) the antenna should be exiting the fuselage the shortest way. Do
not run the antenna alongside the fuselage of wing. The best reception is guaranteed when the antenna is hanging
freely from the fuselage. When using in Slow Flyers and Shock Flyers, you may shorten the antenna down to 40 cm
(16 in). But it is necessary to perform a pre-flight range test.

Your IKARUS Team is wishing you many happy flying hours and safe landings.
