4.  If pairing is successful, PAIR will appear at the bottom of the display, the Bluetooth icon     will appear 

solid and 2 beeps will sound, indicating the iBT230 is ready to play music. There should also be an 
indication on your device. If no device is successfully paired within 2 minutes the iBT230 will default to 
previous mode. Once the iBT230 is paired to a device, it will attempt to autolink when the device  is 
within range (about 30 feet).

Whenever AC power is connected, the iBT230 will attempt to autolink to a previously paired device. If no 
device is paired, the iBT230 will automatically enter pairing mode for 2 minutes. You can manually initiate 
pairing without turning on the iBT230 by following steps 1-3 below. 

1.  Make sure your Bluetooth device is fully charged. Turn on your Bluetooth device and 

make it “discoverable” by turning on Bluetooth mode (check in Options or Settings) .

2.  Press and hold the      

Play/Pause/Pairing Button

 for 2 seconds. The iBT230 will 

beep and BT and the Bluetooth    icon will flash on the display, indicating the 
iBT230 is in pairing mode. 

3.  “iHome iBT230” should appear in your device’s Bluetooth menu. If “Not Paired”, “Not Connected” or 

similar message appears, select “iHome iBT230” to connect it. If prompted for a passcode, enter “1234” 
on your device’s keypad.
