7.2.3 Applications with viscous and fast flowing media

If possible, install the unit in a bypass pipe / still pipe
► In addition, the following aspects have to be considered:

Probe must not be in contact with the
tank wall / structures.
►
Increase lateral minimum distances
according to the probe length and the
lateral deflection to be expected.
►
If possible, fix the probe at the
tank bottom so that it is electrically
conductive. This can be done by means
of a sleeve or similar devices (Fig. 7-3).
►
Check the correct function (in particular
with empty tank).

7.2.4 Fill openings
Do not install the unit in the immediate vicinity of a fill opening (Fig. 7-4).
If possible, install a fill pipe (A) in the tank (Fig. 7-5). Keep to the indicated
installation distances; if necessary, carry out a tank adjustment.
