IER recommends thorough periodic printer maintenance consisting of the
following
operations:
dust
removal
and
cleaning
of
the
printing
mechanisms.
The periodic maintenance schedule must be adapted to the particular
printer environment and operating conditions (presence of dust, quality of
the media used, quantity of documents printed, etc.).
For optimum printer performance under normal operating conditions, IER
recommends the following periodic maintenance schedule: every two
weeks or after printing of 2000 meters (6562 ft) of documents, whichever
occurs first.
To carry out these operations, it is essential to use of the IER Cleaning Kit,
P/N S32129A and to follow the procedures described in the IER 506B
Printer Maintenance Manual, IER P/N N0B472A.
