Before a 24-hour measurement, you should go through the patient information sheet with the patient.
The information sheet is available at www.iem.de.

3.5 Position and conduct of the patient

Show the patient how to put on the cuff so that it is at the level of the right atrium during the measurement.

Inform the patient that they should adopt one of the positions shown in Table 1 at the start of a blood pressure
measurement if possible.
