7.11.2 RAID 1 Mirror – For Redundancy

RAID 1 mirrors data over both disks RAID array. RAID 1 allows redundancy so data can

be restored if one of the disks fails. There is a negligible performance difference between

a RAID 1 array and a normal drive.

7.11.3 JBOD

JBOD allows a bunch of hard disks to be seen as one large disk. Unlike RAID 0, there is

no performance advantage. Data that is on the failed drive is unrecoverable.
