4.2 Internal Peripheral Connectors
Internal peripheral connectors are found on the motherboard and are only accessible
when the motherboard is outside of the chassis. This section has complete descriptions of
all the internal, peripheral connectors on the PCIE-690AM2.
4.2.1 Audio Connector

The 10-pin audio connector is connected to an optional audio kit. The high definition audio
kit enables high definition 7.1 channel audio up to two independent audio signals, while
the AC’97 audio kit enables 5.1 channel audio.
