5.3.2.2 Install CMake* 3.4 or higher 

These steps guide you through installing CMake 3.4 or higher, which is required to build 
the Intel® Distribution of OpenVINO™ toolkit samples. 

NOTE:

 If you want to use Microsoft Visual Studio 2019, you are required to install 

CMake 3.14.   

1.  Go to the 

CMake download site

. 

2.  Under the heading 

Get the Software

, click the link for 

latest stable

 in the first 

paragraph. Your screen displays 

Latest Release

 information. 

3.  Scroll down to the line 

Windows win64-x64 Installer

. 

4.  Click the associated file name to download the installer. The file name will have 

the extension .msi. The file is saved to your Downloads folder. 

5.  Go to the Downloads folder. 
6.  Double-click the file to launch the installer.   

NOTE

: If you have a previous version of CMake installed, you are prompted to uninstall it. 

You must uninstall the previous version before installing the new version. Follow the 
instructions on the screen and then launch the installer again to install the new version.   

7.  In the installer, select the option to 

Add CMake to the system PATH for all users
