Synchronization of Safety-Related Inputs
Overview
The device can monitor synchronized behavior of the two input channels of the safety-related input
using various synchronization mechanisms with different synchronization times. If the two
synchronized channels of the safety-related input are not activated within the synchronization time,
the safety-related output is not deactivated.
The synchronized terminals of the safety-related input and the corresponding synchronization
times are also listed for each individual application function ( see page 56 ) using synchronization,
including information on the sequences in which the synchronized input channels are activated, if
applicable.
