CONNECTION
The testsets may be connected only to telephone circuits only by using
a recommended cordset during the installation and testing of telephone
services. All connections to the testset must be made using a recommended
cordset inserted into the modular jack located inside of the unit. Please see
CORDSETS section for details of recommended cordsets to be used with
the testsets.
DESCRIPTION
The telephone testsets are used by installers, repair technicians, and other
telecommunications personnel for the installation and testing of telephone
services.
The IDEAL Testsets provide:
• DTMF (tone) and rotary (pulse) dialing
• Electronic ringer to indicate incoming calls
• Last number redial - 23 digits - T/P
• Line polarity indication
• Line monitor feature
• Register recall/hook flash
• Mute feature for noisy locations
• Amplified Speaker operation (4SP)
• Modular cordset connection
The amplified speaker feature allows the user to monitor line activity while
making notes, etc.
The modular jack for cordset connection allows you to change cordsets
quickly.
