9.3. Timestamped Programming with the Scheduler
. Introduction
The player can be programmed thanks to the Scheduler, according to a timetable provided on the Main
Media. It manages the playback of all the audio sources available (Main Media contents, web radio, auxiliary
input, etc.) thanks to play, stop, resume, and volume commands. It also allows to schedule Main Media
updates over FTP at specific date and time.
Note:
This feature depends on the clock of the player (Please refer to Setting the Clock of the Player (page
54)).
. Principle
The Player uses its clock to perform the scheduled actions. These actions are stored in a timestamped
programming file named the Scheduler file.
Functioning of the Scheduler
The Scheduler file is made of a calendar (from January 1, 2000 to December 31, 2037). Each date of the
calendar refers to a “day template” containing a set of scheduled actions.
