LifeCare PCA
Recommended tools and materials for this procedure are cotton swabs and a brush. See
for cleaning time intervals.
1. Using a cotton swab, clean any fluid spillage from around the injector flange
retainer.
2. Tilt the infuser forward.
3. Use a brush and moist swab to loosen/remove the debris from inside the switch
pin hole.
4. Using the wooden rod end of the cotton swab, carefully apply pressure on the
injector switch pin, attempting to move it in and out of the injector hole. Use the
rod end to scrape any remaining sticky material from the wall of the injector hole.
5. Use additional cotton swabs until all traces of the fluid/debris are gone. Wipe the
area dry after cleaning.
Note:
Repeat steps 1 through 5 as needed. When the debris has been cleared, the
spring at the back of the switch pin will cause it to pop out. The pin will be
able to move freely in and out of the hole.
After successful cleaning, the
CHECK INJECTOR
alarm displays when there is no injector
present in the injector flange retainer.
Note:
If this cleaning procedure was performed as a result of the infuser failing
the Stuck Injector Switch Pin Test in
, the test must be
repeated after cleaning.
