Electronic circuits are always influenced by different levels of Electrostatic Discharge
(ESD), which become worse in a continental climate area. The built-in F.G. provides a
path for conducting the ESD to the earth ground. Therefore, connecting the F.G
correctly can enhance the ESD protection capabilities and improve the reliability of the
board. Note that wiring of the F.G. is not necessary. The wiring configuration can be
modified based on the specific application.
