Originally, INIT mode was accessed by connecting the INIT*
terminal to the GND terminal. New I-7000 and M-7000 modules
have an INIT switch located on the rear of the module to allow
easier access to INIT mode. For these modules, INIT mode is
accessed by sliding the INIT switch to the Init position, as shown
below.
