You can track your mobile fleet using IDAS™ in the digital or

analog mode.

Using our new Quicksilver GPS engine (IA-10301 module) that plugs directly into the 25 pin
connector on the back of the F5061/6061 mobile, GPS capability is now accomplished.  This is truly
a plug and play AVL solution.  The only decision you need to make is to use it in the analog OR
digital mode

What is it?

Quicksilver GPS is a compact plug and play solution for our F5061/6061 mobiles.  The new form
factor provides ease of installation for new and existing mobile radio installations. There are no
hardware modifications necessary, as the GPS engine is INSIDE the IA-10301 adapter plug.  There
is no need for a second channel as both data and voice share one channel with no information loss
(less than 300ms to TX GPS data). It has extremely fast start times (less than 1 second) and less
than 32 seconds to first fix.  This is a very low cost AVL solution. It works along with ICOM
approved third party mapping vendors (Rastrac and OziFleet).

How does this work?

To utilize this configuration, you will need to do the following:

Connect the optional IA-10301 Quicksilver GPS to the radios DB-25 accessory connector.

 Attach

the

supplied GPS antenna.

Clone the radio to accept GPS messages at the rear accessory connector.

No hardware modifications are needed and the Quicksilver GPS does not require any

calibration or programming.

Installation can even be done without removing the radio from a vehicle as the rear accessory
connector is accessible.
