Focus
The focus of the device is fixed. In order to bring a target into focus, adjust
the distance settings and move to the proper distance (see
Section 8-13-4
Distance
). When the target comes into focus, it shows a sharper image. When
the target moves out of focus, the thermal image becomes blurry.
Correct focus is important in all imaging applications. Correct focus ensures
the infrared energy is directed correctly onto the sensor. This leads to accurate
data collection.
DO NOT LOOK INTO THE FLASHLIGHT. LOOKING INTO THE FLASHLIGHT
MAY CAUSE EYE DAMAGE AND PERSONAL INJURY
. DO NOT POINT THE
FLASHLIGHT DIRECTLY AT PEOPLE OR ANIMALS OR INDIRECTLY OFF
REFLECTIVE SURFACES.
LEAVING THE FLASHLIGHT ON DRAINS THE BATTERY AT AN INCREASED
RATE. POWER OFF THE FLASHLIGHT WHEN NOT IN DIRECT USE.
8-5 Power On/Off the Flashlight
Use the flashlight to assist visibility in dark locations.

Using the touchscreen, tap the Camera icon from the main menu. A rotary
menu appears.

Tap the Flashlight icon to power on the light. The line through the icon is
removed when enabled. Tap the Flashlight button again to power off the
light; a line appears through the icon when disabled.

Tap the display window to exit the
rotary menu
