4.4 Replacement of Front Ribbon Cassette
Ribbon Cassette needs to be replaced regularly. When printed characters become light
suddenly, confirm whether Ribbon Cassette is attached firmly.
CAUTION:
When the Main Unit and/or Top Unit are open, hands and objects can be caught
by the Main Unit and/or Top Unit if the Main Unit and/or Top Unit close
unexpectedly, Make sure you hold the Main Unit and/or with your free hand while
you work.
NOTICE
Make sure Top Unit is open while you replace the Ribbon Cassette. Or Ribbon
Cassette and Imprinter may be damaged.
1. Operate the Top Latch Button and open the Top Unit.
2. Press the “PUSH OPEN” mark on the Imprint Cover (Front) at the left side to open the
Imprint Cover (Front). (A push-push mechanism is used for the Imprint Cover (Front).)
3. Be sure to confirm which position the Ribbon Cassette Tray is set, inside or outside. (To set
the Ribbon Cassette Tray to the same position after replacing Ribbon Cassette.)
The outside position is the spot where the Ribbon Cassette Tray stops when you pull it out.
The inside position is the spot where the Ribbon Cassette Tray stops when you push it in.
