High-speed (Myrinet) switch cabling

The Myrinet high-speed switch provides an optional 2-GB optical network for
communications between Cluster Nodes and Storage Nodes. Figure 6 on page 26
shows a schematic of the Myrinet optical cabling in a large cluster. VLAN types 2,
5, and 6 would follow this model.

ATTENTION!

All intercabinet cables have labels at both ends of each cable. You can use the information on the label to create a
site map to document all cable routing.
